Indirect and Direct Resource — my support

The seal — the star of the certificate and of the mother

🌿 IntermediateLesson 9

A story to start

What a king handed a newly appointed official was a seal, and even now certificates, qualifications and property contracts carry a stamp. The 印 in the Resource group is that seal. The element that generates me — that sustains me like a mother and certifies me like a document. Study, qualifications, contracts, help from a benefactor are all Resource territory.

📖 The main point — the orthodox and the sideways insight

Direct Resource (正印) is learning by the orthodox course — school, a degree, a state qualification, and steady support like a mother’s arms. A chart with good Direct Resource is someone for whom what they learned becomes their living. Indirect Resource (偏印) is learning along the side road — unorthodox subjects, self-teaching, intuition and inspiration. It is the talent for seeing an angle others don’t, said to be common in researchers, planners, artists and — yes — fortune-tellers. Too much Indirect Resource, though, and thought multiplies until execution slows; too much Resource in general and you get used to receiving, and it is easy to become an adult child. The same logic as love turning to poison when it becomes over-protection.

🔍 In practice

Check your Resource. Strong Resource means exams, qualifications and documents are your weapons in life, and “money spent on learning is never wasted” is your life formula. No Resource means you learn on site rather than at a desk, so you needn’t carry a complex about certificates. When a Resource year arrives, the flow of acceptances, contracts and benefactors opens. Now you know why the counselling room on this site keeps mentioning “document luck” in answers about contracts and moving.

🧭 Working through the situations

The Resource group’s practical arena is exams and documents. A student with solid Resource suits the orthodox comprehension-first approach, and years carrying Resource luck are read as periods when news of passing genuinely arrives. On documents — property contracts, permits, approvals, anything with a seal on it — a Resource year is a fair wind, while a period where Resource operates inauspiciously comes with a warning about document fraud and guarantee accidents. It is barely an exaggeration to say “read it three times before you stamp it” is the whole of Resource management. Resource is also the mother’s star, so a chart strong in it is read as one where a mother (or a mother-like figure) leaves a deep mark on the life.

❓ Frequently asked

Q. I heard plenty of Resource means laziness. An exaggeration of the reading that “used to receiving, the impulse to move oneself fires late.” Excess Resource is thinking a great deal and being careful, not laziness. The prescription is to create output deadlines — the habit of explaining what you learned to someone else is the specific remedy. Q. Is there such a thing as a late-study fate? There is. A structure with weak Resource in the natal chart and a large Resource Luck Pillar arriving after middle age — the picture often seen in charts of people who had no affinity with study when young and take a degree after forty. Myeongri proving that it is never too late to study. Q. Is document luck the same as property luck? A property contract is the headline example only. Certificates, qualifications, copyright, permits — every piece of paper that certifies you — is document territory.

✏️ Today’s one step

Time to revise the five groups. Friends (versions of me), Output (expression), Wealth (money), Officers (office), Resource (support) — say the five nicknames without looking. Then find the group you have most of and the one you have none of. Next lesson we put it together.
