Both are Resource, but where the Direct kind raises you through the standard curriculum, the Indirect kind raises you down side roads and back streets — so depth in territory nobody else enters becomes the stage. Intuition, specialist skill and a certain amount of solitude always travel together here. Being off to one side of the fashion is not a loss for this structure; it is a condition of it.

This person stays quiet through a whole meeting and then throws in one sentence at the end that turns the board over. They don’t look where everyone else is looking and do look where nobody is, so at first they hear that they’re odd and later that everyone saw it coming. They tire unusually fast in a crowd and are sharpest alone at night. In love, they observe and weigh for a long while after the feeling arrives, so a partner often assumes the interest has already cooled. Sparing with explanation and therefore read as cold, while thinking about the other person for a very long time.

Becoming irreplaceable is this structure’s surest way of negotiating with the world.

The conception is dazzling and there is no output, and the insistence on not releasing anything imperfect eventually tips the rice bowl over. Keep reducing contact with people and isolation stops being a preference and becomes a situation — which then bends the thinking further. One remedy: fix exactly one channel for getting the thinking outside. A short post on the same day each week, or a study group once a month; one thread connecting you to the world is what protects this structure.
